I want to learn more about the ‘bootloader’ system, to understand it more and i want to learn the linux utillities how to tackle the problem. after my manjaro installation the ‘real’ bootloader now kicks in and boots up manjaro (of course).įound theme: /usr/share/grub/themes/manjaro/theme.txtįound linux image: /boot/vmlinuz-5.9-x86_64įound initrd image: /boot/intel-ucode.img /boot/initramfs-5.9-x86_64.imgįound initrd fallback image: /boot/initramfs-5.9-x86_64-fallback.imgįound memtest86+ image: /boot/memtest86+/memtest.bin Now, whatever i select in my bios boot menu, manjaro will startup, and i have no option to boot windows.įrom my beginner level, i understood for now, that my windows had no bootloader installed and the drive was selected from the bios. (i wanted to switch system with my bios boot menu) In the installation process, i had the option to install the bootloader on drive1, but i wasn’t sure about that and selected drive2 instead. I created a bootable usb-stick with manjaro and installed on drive2 (ID-2: /dev/sda vendor: Crucial model: CT275MX300SSD1) Win10 is installed on drive1 (ID-1: /dev/nvme0n1 vendor: Samsung model: SSD 970 EVO 500GB ) These are my very first steps with Linux in general and i am looking for help to fix my bootloader.
